A set of skills for providing person-centred support to older people in various settings, within the delegations of an established individualised plan.

 

Duration: up to 6 months, depending on delivery mode.

 

Course Cost: Subsidised training available - funding eligibility criteria applies.

Career Boost Co-contribution Fees as below:

Non-Concessional: $100/unit x 5 = $500.00

Concessional: $50/unit x 5 = $250.00

If not eligible for funding, full fee for service $1,263.00 per participant.

 

​Delivery: Combination of face to face training, online, Zoom virtual classrooms, workplace (if applicable) and self-paced individual study.

 

Outcome: On successful completion of all training and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for CHCSS00129 - Individual Support - Ageing Skillset which includes the below units:

CHCAGE011 Provide support to people living with dementia

CHCAGE013 Work effectively in aged care

CHCCCS038 Facilitate the empowerment of people receiving support

CHCCCS031 Provide individualised support

CHCPAL003 Deliver care services using a palliative approach

 

Requirements: This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in an area involving provision of direct client care or support

 

All participants are required to provide identification, preferably with a photo (e.g. driver's licence, gun licence, passport). You must also bring your Unique Student Identifier (USI). We are unable to generate your certification without this. If you do not have a USI, please create one at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi​

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): This qualification is available for partial or full RPL. Your application for RPL must be submitted prior to commencing study.​

 

Credit Transfer: Credit transfer is available and free of charge if the learner currently already holds a unit of competency and can provide evidence documents.
