UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (LVR)

This course is primarily for those who work within the electrical industry, and provides the skills and

knowledge to perform rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus in the case of

electrocution. The course encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes

at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

 

As competence in CPR is a pre-requisite for the LVR component, you will also learn the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR and respond to breathing emergencies, in line with the Australian Resuscitation (ARC) guidelines. 

Duration: 6 hours of face-to-face training. There is no pre-reading required for this course.

Course Cost: $155.00 per participant. If you have a current CPR competency and only wish to undertake the LVR component, course fee will be $80. Evidence of original competency document must be provided. 

Outcome: On successful completion of all training and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and Competency Wallet Card for:

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and

UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Re-Certification: RAPAD Skilling recommends CPR & LVR refresher training be undertaken every 12 months, in line with guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council and Electrical Safety Act 2002.

Requirements: All participants are required to provide identification, preferably with a photo (e.g. driver's licence, gun licence, passport). You must also bring your Unique Student Identifier (USI). We are unable to generate your certification without this. If you do not have a USI, please create one at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi

Please Note: Participants are required to perform CPR on an adult manikin for at least 2 minutes on the floor. Participants are also required to perform a practical demonstration of rescuing a person from a live LV panel, and removing the victim to safety.
